Avoid this weight loss mistake

Today I’m doing a presentation to Fryza Bannister Financials on ‘Eat Well be Charged at Work’  🙂

So excited to be helping them be their best selves with food to increase their companies success!

I was thinking of how I would explain what your energy quota is and it got me thinking about a lovely man I met in my local village last week.

He was telling me how he wanted to lose body fat and that he’d better cut out carbs to get better results.

This fascinates me why people think this.  It’s my guess because there are so many confusing messages passed around from Aunt Mary to tabloid news papers!

Want to know the answer?

You do not need to cut out all carbohydrate containing foods completely from your diet

Body fat levels do not get high as a result of eating a certain type of food (e.g. carbohydrate rich potatoes), your body fat levels accumulate because you get your energy quota wrong over time – it’s not about individual foods.

Vitamins, minerals, fibre, fluids, antioxidants are also part of the story but your energy quota is the beating heart of everything!

Your energy quota:

-determines your energy and how you feel!

-is a calculation based on your goals (e.g. weight gain or loss)

-is a unique combination of carbohydrates, proteins and fats from foods

Golden nugget: Nutrition = function = results! 🙂

With love,

  1. May I simply just say what a comfort to uncover somebody that truly knows what they’re talking about on the internet. You actually realize how to bring a problem to light and make it important. A lot more people need to look at this and understand this side of your story. It’s surprising you are not more popular since you definitely possess the gift.

      Hi Fiona,

Thank you so much for saying such lovely things. Yes, this is my aim to put real education out on the internet to help people with their nutrition so they can live well, long and healthy.
